Recently, Huadian Tieling off-grid wind power hydrogen production integration project in Liaoning province, which was built with the help of Windey, has officially entered the commercial operation stage, marking that China's largest wind power off-grid hydrogen production demonstration project has been transferred to commercial operation. At this point, Windey has become China's first machine manufacturer with wind power off-grid hydrogen operation and maintenance experience.
The project has developed the technology of “large-capacity wind power off-grid hydrogen production integration”, using multiple double-fed wind turbines of Windey as the power generation unit, and equipped with 10% capacity of the energy storage power station and three sets of water electrolysis hydrogen production devices with a single production capacity of about 1,000 Nm3/h.
Hydrogen was successfully produced only half a year after the construction was started and officially put into operation in less than a year, which is inseparable from the technological innovation and application capability of Windey.
The off-grid operation mode puts forward extremely high requirements on the performance of wind turbines, especially for the stable operation ability under the environment of nearly 100% power electronic equipment group network, and the precise matching degree of wind power, energy storage, hydrogen production and other equipment. In this regard, for pure off-grid wind power hydrogen production scenarios, Windey's R&D team has conducted in-depth exploration and formulated system optimization plans from multiple angles, including wind power characteristics prediction, wind farm unit cooperative active and reactive power control, wind turbine bottom start/stop control strategy, pure off-grid scenario operation adaptability, and off-grid grid environment adaptability. Combined with the actual operating conditions, the operational performance of the wind turbine has been continuously polished, giving Windey's wind turbine excellent performance under extreme conditions, making it the first wind turbine in China that is truly applicable to pure off-grid hydrogen production conditions, and demonstrating unparalleled adaptability and stability.
Through the successful commissioning of this project, Windey fully demonstrated its technical strength and industry foresight in the field of green energy, and accumulated rich project experience. In the next step, Windey will continue to empower the low-carbon transformation of the society with innovative modes and create more green industry benchmarks and demonstration projects.
